Event proceeds will support women’s income generation projects in Jos Nigeria, Africa.
Empowering women through income generation: when a woman has the chance to protect her health, learn how to read, or start a business, her actions create ripples of change in the community.
For rural Nigerian women the AIDS pandemic, inflation and lack of formal education make it difficult to provide basic needs for her family. MCC works with Nigerian Christian partners such as Home Makers and Faith Alive Clinic to teach women sewing, crafts, hairdressing and other marketable, vocational skills. Participants learn to increase their economic power. At graduation they are provided small loans to start their own business.
Your per person donation for the evening will make a difference.
