What we do

Disabilities Ministries

For nearly 30 years West Coast MCC has worked to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their families. Three partner organizations have sprung from those efforts, offering residential care and supportive living services while building relationships between people with disabilities and a larger community of support.

Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear.” Isaiah 35:3-4a

Central California Mennonite Residential Services  (Fresno, CA)
Provides Christ-centered support and services to persons with mild to moderate developmental disabilities. Tailored to each individual's specific needs, residents can live as independently as possible.

Provides group homes for individuals experiencing developmental disabilities. Presently OMRS operates eight homes in the mid-Willamette valley providing residential and support services to 39 individuals.

Goldensun Peace Ministries (Glendale, AZ)
An intentional faith community for adults with developmental disabilities. Residential, daytime and volunteer programs create an interdependent support system through community, allowing participants to live richer lives.

Recent community events:

We are happy to announce that Rachel Schellenberg, resident at CCMRS, came in third in the world in this year's Aktion Club Speech contest for Kiwanis International. In the video (above), Rachel explains the process of being a grace based leader in her community and supporting children around the world with the MCC relief kit projects.
